WE MADE IT!

For the last song we played Boston's "Rock and Roll Band," which fits with what we tried to do in the past 24 hours. Check out the lyrics below and I think you'll agree.

Final, final thanks and wrap up post to come by Monday, but for now, huge thanks to everyone who joined in person or online, those who chipped in with food, beer or planning, and, of course, those who gave to the Fine Arts Fund.

Time to rest...

Well, we were just another band out of boston On the road to try to make ends meet Playin all the bars, sleepin in our cars And we practiced right on out in the street No, we didnt have much money We barely made enough to survive But when we got up on stage and got ready to play People came alive. Rock and roll band Everybodys waitin Gettin crazy Anticipating love and music Play, play, play, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Dancin in the streets of hyannis We were getting pretty good at the game People stood in line and didnt seem to mind You know everybody knew our name Livin on rock-n-roll music Never worry bout the things we were missing When we got up on the stage and got ready to play Everybodyd listen. Rock and roll band Everybodys waitin Gettin crazy Anticipating love and music Play, play, play, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Playin for a week in rhode island A man came to the stage one night He smoked a big cigar Drove a cadillac car And said, boys, I think this bands outta-sight Sign a record company contract You know Ive got great expectations When I hear you on the car radio Youre goin to be a sensation! Rock and roll band Everybodys waitin Gettin crazy Anticipating love and music Play, play, play, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Last Song?

I'll be singing the last song in 30 minutes or so. If anyone out there has any requests, put it in the comments.

Winding Down

A returning family shift is taking us to the finish line, thankfully. The all-night guys are slowly peeling off for home.

Angels Have Arrived

We now have fresh food and fresh players to relieve the front line troops. Under 3 hours to glory.

Breakfast??

So we had at least three people say they would stop by this morning to deliver some combination of bagels, donuts or egg mcmuffins. So far, nada. But the sun is up, and a little over three hours to go.
One of my Guitar Hero buddies said it looks like we're smiling on the camera. That's cool

Anybody out there?

insanity has set in...

Need Relief...We're Crashing

Well, our core group of five that's been playing alone since 2:30am (that's the past 4.5 hours if my brain still works), is now down to four. Tholking went for Starbucks, drank it and dove onto a conference room chair. He's out cold.

To all involved who considered coming in this mornign, we neeed youu. And bring egg mcmuffns...

Begging for Sunrise

The final core team is soldiering on, but we could use some sunrise to motor us through. Not coming until about 7:30am, though.

Criss Steps Up

We have our first dual guitar/singing attempt - Criss Titschinger, who selected "Black Hole Sun." He's doing well.

The Shoes Have Come Off

Five dudes left, and our shoes are the first clothing items to be shed in the name of comfortable jamming. Keep glued to your our web cam, maybe something else will be next.

And then there were Five

Just four guys and a humble photographer remains at this point. "Enter Sandman" is playing. How appropriate...

More Beers!

Reloaded with beer and energy drinks, but we've now lost a ton of people. we're down to about 11 hard core rockers. A group is on Stage 1 with 30 minutes to go, and a back-up Boy Band is warming up on Stage 3 and will take over the 3am to 4am shift. The GH stage (2) is powered down for now.

UPDATE: Another two guys with another case of sweet, amber goodness just walked in.

Three Ain't a Crowd

So we've now got not one, not two, but just added a THIRD stage with Rock Band going. This one is connected to the plasma screen in our hallway. And more people are waiting to play than are actually playing.

P.S. if you come here tonight, bring beer.

Ladies' Hour

We've got Carol's girls playing Easy on Rock Band, and the Sarah/Angie combo going on GH2.

12:00am: Half Way to Glory

We just cruised past midnight and still rocking' with about 20 people here, and more still arriving. We broke out Guitar Hero II in the other conference room.

The Actors Have Arrived

Jay brought his cast for a party. Ten people and one microphone spells trouble. And Lori means business.

Get on it, Stich!

Note: "Stich" is pronounced "stick". It's almost 11pm and we're still going on, nearing the half way mark. We've still got about 25 people here!

Still Going Strong

The people who hit happy hour at Tina's are trickling back and hoping for pizza. We've got Guitar Hero III going in another room.

The Kids Are Alright

Team Glisson Rocking the 8 o'clock hour.

Raman, Try to Act Cool

Success?

Our first client performer

This guy is rocking...We're still going strong, just short of 7 hours in. 24 hours? no problemo when we have client friends joining us on the second shift.

Ran Out of Beer

Oops. Note to self: next year need to get a beer sponsor. Nico and Dennis making a brew run now. Hang tight everyone...

Another Kind of Instrument Just Sounded Off

Much more to celebrate as we just heard that we won a brand new client! This is the old fog horn that we crank to rally the office for any new business celebration. It's sweet, sweet music.

Time to Break Out the Fun T-Shirts

Brad Mahler, sucka.

Sometimes you tell the day...

by the bottle that you drink. Just another Final Friday at Bridge Worldwide. The Sam Adams is flowing and the Bon Jovi is rolling.
